well Microsoft has recently posted the 6.0.8988.1 HDA FF01 X64 driver on MS Update instead of the FF00 X64 version

while 8988 FF00 is WHQL for Win10 x64 only (because the hdxrt.cat, hdxlc.cat & hdxlvj.cat files from the ff00 version have OS:Attr property value of 2:10.0), 8988 FF01 on the other hand is WHQL for 64bit Win7 & Win10 (because the hdxrt.cat, hdxlc.cat & hdxlvj.cat files from the ff01 version have OS:Attr property value of 2:6:1,2:10.0)
now I'll install 8988 FF01 on my brother's old Sony laptop running Win7 x64 because 9018 FF00 (and 8988 FF00) will fail WHQL certification on there and show the windows can't verify the publisher of this software message (obviously because it's not running Win10)

I think that installing and uninstalling realtek driver number of times will mess up the audio quality. I installed 9018 on a fresh win10 installation and it is really sounding great. Thats why i decided not to go for UAD from now. Sometimes Win10 tries to replace new driver with old driver and it mess up finally. I had that trouble again yesterday and i got mad. Disabled win updates in group policy through administrator login and shut the updates off.

well I did not expect this from Microsoft - it was sort of a recent surprise (maybe a treat)

I made a setup installer package for generic 9030 FF04 x64 - PM me for that one
edit 10/31 - I think 9030 FF04 HDA still gives me the classic Realtek HD Audio Manager (Ravcpl64.exe) app on my Gigabyte board. only 9031 UAD/HDA & higher (if and when available) bring back the Gigabyte brand Realtek Audio Manager or Realtek Audio Console version. on the other hand, 9030 FF04 worked well on my HP m8417c desktop PC

the 9034 UAD Gigabyte driver appears to crash with BSOD on somebody's Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming or similar X470 motherboard during driver install as a few people reported in other forums. workaround was to "unplug" the front panel audio wiring cable inside the PC before installing the 9034 UAD driver (a problem with "jack detection"). no such BSOD problems with 9034 UAD on modern Gigabyte boards with Intel based H410/Z490/B460 chipsets and/or those old boards with old AMD Socket AM3+ CPUs like mine.

but at least this one can be used on both 64bit Win7 & Win10 (aka WHQL for Win7 & Win10)
and should bring back the Gigabyte version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager app instead of using the classic Realtek HD Audio Manager app unlike with HDA versions from 8963 to 9030

Yes already using it. Mokichu is making drivers specific to Asus hardware from few months. I am not sure if this is generic version but I am using it since I got Asus B350 Plus mobo

9065 FF00 is non-WHQL though (obviously 9065 is a beta version)

found the sources of full generic 32bit/64bit 9057 FF00 & 9065 FF00 drivers (unlikely manufacturer)

The contents of this section are hiddenI will NOT update the Realtek HDA drivers on my bro's Sony Vaio laptop - I mentioned in station drivers forum that 9024 & 9057 (and maybe 9018) totally removed the Realtek equalizer and environment sound effect options (yup, those options are gone leaving only the weak Dolby Home Theater V3 sound options since those came with the Sony laptop). I'll stay with 9000 FF00 on the Sony laptop (which retain the Realtek EQ/environment sound options in the Realtek HD Audio Manager app) while my other machines can use either 9057 or 9065.
