I can't quite say the same for this guy in the station drivers forum who did use 9018 FF00: Code: The contents of this section are hidden RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - chillgates - 10-23-2020 (10-23-2020, 01:54 AM)erp-ster0 Wrote: The contents of this section are hiddenYou have No permissions I think that installing and uninstalling realtek driver number of times will mess up the audio quality. I installed 9018 on a fresh win10 installation and it is really sounding great. Thats why i decided not to go for UAD from now. Sometimes Win10 tries to replace new driver with old driver and it mess up finally. I had that trouble again yesterday and i got mad. Disabled win updates in group policy through administrator login and shut the updates off. RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 10-31-2020 well I did not expect this from Microsoft - it was sort of a recent surprise (maybe a treat) ![]() v6.0.9030.1 HDA FF04 generic x64 driver - 148mb cab download (in code) - WHQL for Win10 x64 only Code: The contents of this section are hidden FF04 = generic HDA with Conexant APO (CXAPO) integration - most Compaq/HP brand computers with onboard Realtek HD audio hardware work best with FF04 HDA drivers I made a setup installer package for generic 9030 FF04 x64 - PM me for that one edit 10/31 - I think 9030 FF04 HDA still gives me the classic Realtek HD Audio Manager (Ravcpl64.exe) app on my Gigabyte board. only 9031 UAD/HDA & higher (if and when available) bring back the Gigabyte brand Realtek Audio Manager or Realtek Audio Console version. on the other hand, 9030 FF04 worked well on my HP m8417c desktop PC RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 11-03-2020 (10-06-2020, 04:16 PM)chillgates Wrote: The contents of this section are hiddenYou have No permissions the 9034 UAD Gigabyte driver appears to crash with BSOD on somebody's Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming or similar X470 motherboard during driver install as a few people reported in other forums. workaround was to "unplug" the front panel audio wiring cable inside the PC before installing the 9034 UAD driver (a problem with "jack detection"). no such BSOD problems with 9034 UAD on modern Gigabyte boards with Intel based H410/Z490/B460 chipsets and/or those old boards with old AMD Socket AM3+ CPUs like mine. v6.0.9034.1 UAD [All OEM] driver available from MS Update (posted 11/1/2020) Code: The contents of this section are hidden -- also MS finally posted the older generic v6.0.9000.1 HDA FF00 driver version for X64 (64bit) Windows Code: The contents of this section are hidden now this 9000 FF00 version I can use on a Win7 X64 machine RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 11-06-2020 seems like Gigabyte re-released the 9034 Realtek UAD driver on Oct. 29 with this package Code: The contents of this section are hidden almost the same as the older 9034 package but included the Gigabyte Audio Jack Sensing SWC component for certain Realtek ALC1220 hardware. though I'm glad you switched back to using HDA drivers on your Gigabyte board, chillgates. another blue screen problem with the 9034 UAD driver was reported on some Gigabyte Z390 boards in the gigabyte forum Code: The contents of this section are hidden RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 12-09-2020 it seems Mokichu has a generic v6.0.9057.1 HDA FF00 x64 driver available a few days ago in this Asus ROG forum topic page: Code: The contents of this section are hidden I won't be able to determine the source of 9057 HDA FF00 for a while - no matter but at least this one can be used on both 64bit Win7 & Win10 (aka WHQL for Win7 & Win10) and should bring back the Gigabyte version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager app instead of using the classic Realtek HD Audio Manager app unlike with HDA versions from 8963 to 9030 RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - chillgates - 12-10-2020 (12-09-2020, 11:48 PM)erp-ster0 Wrote: The contents of this section are hiddenYou have No permissions Yes already using it. I'll stay with 9000 FF00 on the Sony laptop (which retain the Realtek EQ/environment sound options in the Realtek HD Audio Manager app) while my other machines can use either 9057 or 9065. |
