However, when I installed 9071 HDA FF00 on the Sony vaio laptop, the Realtek sound effect options from the Realtek HD Audio manager were once again removed. ![]() The contents of this section are hidden so from 9018 FF00 to 9071 FF00, the Realtek sound effect options are no longer available on my bro's Sony vaio laptop pc. guess I'm gonna have to remove 9071 and downgrade to either 9000, 8988 or older to get back those Realtek sound effect options on the Sony laptop. Don't know what Realtek did with 9018 FF00 & greater but those options don't seem to be available anymore on the Sony machine, therefore I'll stop updating the HDA drivers on there. All my other PCs with Realtek audio hardware do get those Realtek sound effect options with newer driver versions like 9071. and speaking of older generic HDA drivers, there was an old generic 8955 HDA FF00 32bit/64bit version from this little known manufacturer Code: The contents of this section are hidden this one was released late - lesser known OEMs tend to release drivers many weeks or months late RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 01-04-2021 Realtek HDA FF00 64bit generic driver 6.0.9038.1 WHQL (older version) Code: The contents of this section are hidden 6.0.9038.1 HDA FF00 generic X64 from MS Update (posted 1/01/2021) {146.0mb cab download} - older version Code: The contents of this section are hidden Q. why mention some older generic HDA FF00/FFxx versions, erp? A. because newest/latest generic HDA FF00/FFxx driver is not always the best one for some people 9071 FF00 seem to provide lower quality or softer bass sounds as confirmed by a few people in other forums and decided to use older FF00 versions like 9057, 9038, 9018 & 9000 RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 01-28-2021 (12-30-2020, 05:09 PM)erp-ster0 Wrote: The contents of this section are hiddenYou have No permissions 3rd source of generic 9071 HDA FF00 - Microsoft (64bit only - posted on MS Update in mid-Jan 2021) Code: The contents of this section are hidden but there's a new generic FF00 32bit/64bit HDA driver available - v6.0.9088.1 HDA from ASRock Code: The contents of this section are hidden RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - erp-ster0 - 02-04-2021 (01-28-2021, 01:16 PM)erp-ster0 Wrote: The contents of this section are hiddenYou have No permissions this 9088 FF00 generic HDA driver from ASRock is listed for certain industrial motherboards such as IMB-V1000 - official release date for this driver was listed as 1/29/2021 Code: The contents of this section are hidden so far this generic 9088 FF00 HDA driver works fine under Win10 but I read from one of danielk's recent posts from MDL forums that the 9088 HDA driver has some bad or faulty GUIDs which makes this driver not work properly under Win7 & 8.1 (he has a "fix" for this) RE: Realtek High Definition Audio Latest WHQL - Manchita - 02-04-2021 (02-04-2021, 07:41 PM)erp-ster0 Wrote: The contents of this section are hiddenYou have No permissionsI'm using the 9088 FF00 HDA on Win 7 (x64) but I haven't noticed anything bad.
