Free beer for COVID vaccine: Samuel Adams announces incentive on National Beer Day and how to get free Coors Pure 69  113

Here's a fun promotion that's timely given it's National Beer Day Wednesday: Get a COVID shot and get a free Samuel Adams beer.

The beer brand released a new national TV spot “Your Cousin From Boston Gets Vaccinated” Wednesday "to help combat skepticism amongst drinkers with humor" and announced the #ShotForSam vaccine incentive program.

A couple of caveats: The free beer for the COVID-19 vaccine offer starts April 12 –
National Beer Day is held annually April 7 –
and is for the first 10,000 drinkers who "share evidence of their vaccination on social media" by May 15 or while supplies last.

A vaccine card or medical information is not required and the beer brand suggests showing an "I'm vaccinated" sticker or bandage photo with the hashtag #ShotForSam on Instagram or Twitter for a chance to receive $7 cash through the Cash App to cover a Sam Adams of their choice from their favorite local bar or restaurant.

Winners will receive direct messages, the beer brand says.

Hope more people do get vaxxed. Herd immunity is a thing, but the rest of us shouldn't be carrying the anti-vaxxers on our shoulders to carry them forward..

Now when they say beer, you can count me in  69 But jokes apart, hope the vaccines are effective and normalcy to life does return to at-least 20% of what it used to be.
Wishful thinking yeah I know.

Hmm, actually weird incentive...
Intentions are good but to vaccine deniers it'll look like they are promoting something bad (vaccine) with something good (free beer).

It's a pretty smart idea on the behalf of Samuel Adams but I only expect it to have marginal impact on the numbers of vaccinated people. It's pretty shameful if someone only vaccinates himself for a cold one.

The mortality rate in my country is 14 in 10.000, I support vaccines but the measures to prevent the spread of the virus have caused much more harm than good (suicide rate all time high, family violence and mental health issues)

not only do I think it wouldn't work for anti vaxxers, but they might think to themselves, stupidly, 'see it's so bad they have to trick us into getting it'
definitely if they have some strong belief, that wouldn't change it. The smart people get beer though which is good.
