COREL Photomirage 1.0.0.167
#1
Corel has released PhotoMirage, a new app for adding a subtle hint of animation to still images. The result is similar to a cinemagraph, but instead of using a video as a source, the animation is created by morphing, fading and looping parts of the image. There are tools to control the morph direction, isolate the areas that should not be affected, crop the photo and perform a one-click improve-image function. The final results can be shared with most popular networks from within the app.

Format Support
  • Import Formats Supported JPG/JPEG, BMP, Still GIF, TIFF, PNG and RAW. RAW file support for over 450 camera models, including the following file extensions: 3FR, ARW, CR2, CRW, DCR, DNG, K25, KDC, NEF, NRW, ORF, PEF, RAF, RW2, SR2, SRF, X3F (Visit full model list)
  • Export Formats Supported: MP4 (H.264), MP4 (HEVC)**, WMV*** and GIF (Animated)

With PhotoMirage you can transform your photos, images and artwork into captivating animations with just a few easy steps. This tutorial will give you a tour of the PhotoMirage interface and introduce you to the key tools and features. Get a quick demonstration of how to use the Motion Arrows and Anchor Points to create the animation effects, and how to save your finished animations. We will also touch on other tools for cropping, masking, selections, and Visibility Layers.

PhotoMirage works by placing animation points over the image, then telling the software which way (and how fast) to animate those pixels. There’s no artificial intelligence involved, the program just grabs and moves those pixels based on the settings the user chooses. Anchor points tell the software which pixels to leave untouched. With those tools, PhotoMirage can do things like add motion to the clouds the sky in a still photo, or animate a body of water.

All in all, if you're looking for a quick, convenient way to make some of your pictures "come to life," you might consider using PhotoMirage. It's easy to use, features some handy tutorials and lets you upload your creation to several websites directly from the application.
