Is it me or does the smat cleaning reactivate every time?
I can deactivate it and each time the application is restarted it comes back, it's a bit annoying.

I suggest you to use ccleaner slim which don't need activation or use technician version and follow the instructions how to block it from connecting home.

There is an attachments in this post. A text file consisting the ip-addresses through which ccleaner connect home. Copy the list and paste in your hosts file.

Open notepad with administrator mode, open hosts file through notepad and paste contents of the attachment in it , save and close. You are done.

On my main PC, running win7 x64, I activated ccleanear several years ago and I continue to upgrade over it, with no issues.
I also have win81 and win10 on other disks on the same PC and no matter what activator I use, ccleaner will always crash when I close it.
There's one particular activator that produces a weird effect: The words "Ccleaner Professional" just disappear from the main ccleaner window, leaving just a blank space beside the ccleaner logo (this is on the upper left of the ccleaner window)
