Downloaded. Never tried FF04 before. Will try and tell you.
Edit:
While extracting package it gave error "could not extract cab". I went to folder and saw files extracted already. Executed setup and it said "No compatible driver found". So it is not generic

wrong-o
It IS generic! the HDARt.inf (in WIN32 folder), HDXRT.inf & HDXSST.inf files (in WIN64 folder) should be there!
I got no such error message when extracting the files - the 8934 HDA sp103850 exe package is 302Mb in size
maybe you
did not download the 8934 HDA FF04 package completely and somehow it mysteriously "timed out" OR quit during the download - hence the "could not extract cab" message
try this HP ftp link instead - or try downloading it a few times on different parts of the day until it is downloaded correctly
Code:

correct file size of the EXE file should be at 302Mb (316,715,056 bytes)
edit - see, someone here in Seven forums was able to install the 8934 HDA driver on a Dell computer.

The Ftp link worked good. No problem this time to install it. I wonder what happened with previous link. As you said file may be corrupted. I want to bookmark this link also for future purpose. Can you provide link for HP website from where i can check this
realtek driver in future ?
edit: I bookmarked driver page links for HP Z230 and HP Z240 models to check for updated driver in future. Hope they always release generic driver in future.

sometimes the HP http server acts like crap and downloads from there mysteriously stop part way and not really download completely (maybe due to high traffic).
I think I'll mention both ftp & http links for new HDA drivers coming from HP in case one works better than the other
maybe I'll ask HP if they can release a new generic FF00 version instead of just a generic FF04 version

No problem as long as new version works like FF00 with sound manager in tray with all options such as room correction, jack detection, equalizer and channel re-tasking.

I also did not expect this from Microsoft recently (but hey they're stepping up in releasing new
Realtek HDA drivers)
version 6.0.8934.1 HDA "generic" 64bit from MS Update Catalog posted today 6/3/2020
149.4Mb cab download
Code:

this is an
FF01 version of 8934 HDA instead of FF04
Code:

FF01 > Fortemedia integration (FMAPO)
the FMAPO files are used mostly on HP & Lenovo brand PCs with onboard
Realtek audio hardware and are unused on other brands
ok since I only installed 8934 FF04 version on a few of my PCs (including the HP computer), I will install this new 8934
FF01 version on the other remaining computers that use
Realtek audio hardware

Micro$oft driver for realtek is not good. It won't load in system tray and no room correction option. And also UI installs separately from store which i don't like. UI must be included inside driver setup.
