My Windows is already activated through a key that apparently I had but didn't know I had (from my account). But the only problem is that it's a Home Key. How should I go about updating it to Pro? Thank you.

I downloaded the update assistant and its been running for 12 hours and now its stuck at 99% . Should i cancel it and try the media creation tool? i dont know why its taking so long. Details on how to upgrade here

First of all, disconnect your email account with M$ from control panel. Switch off windows defender and its cloud protection, run hwid tool and select "license switch" in work mode options and follow the rules there after. Select your choice of license from drop down list that appears in new window and select choice of registration type. Better select gvlk type. I am not sure but i think it works.

Better download latest full ISO of 1909 and install as fresh copy. Download addon called "user agent switcher" in firefox or chrome. Then open the addon and change agent to mac or linux and browser as safari. Go to windows 10 download page. M$ will allow you to directly download iso file instead of assistant crap. Write the iso to a usb using rufus tool or to a DVD and install.

Alternately , there is a windows 10 update thread here which posted August win 10 updated ISO. Get it.

You have No permissionssince the upgrade process is already at 99% best thing to do is let it finish. If it really doesn't finish then it's time to cancel the upgrade process, roll back and use install medium

The upgrading process was stuck at 99% for 24 hours so i had to end it and reboot, then windows update automatically started downloading version 1903 and i dont know how to stop it. Meanwhile Im downloading the latest full ISO from w10 download page on another PC, but it only lets me install version 2004, there is no version 1909, is the latest version recommended? On top of all im using mobile data internet so it takes forever.  Moreover, the logo on the bottom corner asking me to activate Windows has disappeared, and when i ran the KSM cleaner updated few posts ago, it didnt find anything, so my guess is i used another method to activate which i dont recall.

that is win10 business editions v 1909 updated august for both x64 and x86 (first links on the page). Business editions have all flavors of win 10 that you want to install , like education, home, pro etc.

Don't install v 2004, all it got bugs.

when you finish a fresh install, disable windows defender and cloud defender , download hwidgen , run it as admin and choose kms38 method to register windows offline or use hwid method to register windows online. do a rar or zip of hwidgen and store in safe place to use in future installations.
