My sister got a pretty nasty case of the Omicron or whatever variant is the main one now. Lasted about a week, couldn't taste anything, low blood O2, the works. She felt better within hours of taking that 'horse medicine', but she still needed days to recover.

What's interesting about the blood O2 levels is that you end up with a level that should make you pass out, if not be instantly fatal. I heard something about the disease causing some kind of damage to blood vessels that makes the readers give erroneously low results.
