Comcast, Charter dominate US; telcos “abandoned rural America,” report says

I switched from CenturyLink to Comcast because CenturyLink only offered a maximum speed of 20 mbps. I signed up for 150 mbps service with Comcast. FYI, I always use a VPN when online. I quickly found that Comcast was throttling my VPN traffic as confirmed by various spreadsheets with and without my VPN activated. I even tested different VPN providers to see if that made a difference -- and it did not. Anyway, it is abundantly clear that Comcast throttles my VPN downloads to only around 10 mbps.
