You have No permissionsYes to generate a digital license you need to be online.
For KMS38 activation you don't (works offline)

Speaking for myself, the reason I opted for the manual method is that I'm less tech savvy than most here and I'm suspicious of unknown software. With the manual method I ran every file through virustotal.com and every file came up clean. The automated method however did not come up clean on virustotal. I'm sure the automated method is just fine but I like to play it as safe as possible and the manual method was super easy anyway.

That because the auto method is compiled into an exe plus maybe but not sure I have not checked could be packed/protected causing vt results.  This is common when packed.

Hi!
Latest release 20H2, the build 19551 in enterprise version, activated with manual method !

Be careful if installing on VMWare: same problem as the first version in 20H2: the SCSI controller (by default in easy mode ...) does not work!
During the initial configuration, you have to go through the expert mode, and add a different controller than the default one. SATA or NVMe works.
That's all.

S1ave77's method is excellent !

I couldn't activate my Windows 10 Pro, interestingly it gives me the same error (0xC0EA000A) as the Windows Store, which doesn't let me install any apps. I've attached the log.
