Hi,
I can ask if with the HWIDGEN tool, LTSB 2016 must be activated every time you format and reinstall the operating system, I ask why I used the HWID mode on the virtual machine and the formatting of the  system LTSB 2016 had to be reactivated.

You have No permissionsno need to run hwidgen again after re-install if the previous LTSB was already activated with a digital license; all that's needed is to insert the generic product key for 2016 LTSB during re-install procedure. After install has finished LTSB will then be activated online without the need to run the tool again if there aren't any major hardware changes
