You have No permissionsjust activated again with HWIDGEN, formatted and reinstalled LTSB and done as you asked me, product activation still gives me an error because it cannot connect to the organization's activation server, even entering the original product key gives me the same error

You have No permissions1-did you run hwidgen while connected to internet?
2-if so can you post the hwidgen log (it's in the folder from where you're running hwidgen)

You have No permissionsYes I had internet when I ran HWIDGEN giving me activation successfully, I also checked in the windows cmd, with the slmgr / xpr command and it is activated permanently

But if I go to format the activation is canceled, which for example with PRO or Home does not happen

You have No permissionsmaybe something has changed because the digital license is baked in if it's done correctly (I'll test when I have time somewhere next week)

Question
I read thru all 48 pages of this topic, and Skunk1966, you have the patience of a saint, or you smoke lots of weed and you are very relaxed.  67

History
I grabbed windows from a torr
it was already activated by KMSPico
then I found some strange dll exe and a open connection to some website, etc
so I want to remove KMSPico and instead use KMS38 so it is long lasting.
I have blocked access to microsoft in a long hosts file so i don't want to try the hardware id.

I uninstalled KMSPico from windows control panel
and I downloaded the KMSCleaner tool from a link in this thread
but when I ran it it had some stuff in it's output that it appeared to have failed, something about certificates...
I ran it as admin, and I temp disabled windows defender

Here is the output from SLmgr.vbs /dlv

It appears this activation is for 172 days
Since I uninstalled KMSPico (I think...) I'm assuming it won't auto renew itself.

How can I verify KMSPico is really uninstalled, so I can proceed to running KMS38 in manual mode?

In manual mode, the instructions #2 says install default generic key.
since I already have a key from previous activation, do I still do this step
or do I need to FIRST remove the existing key, existing activation,
and I don't recall if I read how to do that in these 48 pages 2

thank you!

If I screw it up (i.e. it fails to activate or current activation is removed), what happens?

Do I need to reinstall fresh, or just try it again?
Puff puff pass.  1

You have No permissions
So I was actually creating a virtual machine for Windows 10, and I tested if HWIDGEN was still working.
I created a brand new virtual machine and used the latest ISO of Windows 10 untouched from MSDN. I installed Windows 10 Education and immediately used HWIDGEN to activate the software. After it had successfully activated, I deleted the virtual hard drive, and added a new one, while keeping all other components intact. I again installed Windows 10 using the same ISO and it activated automatically without me touching anything.
So, HWIDGEN still works.

You have No permissionsDon't install Windows 10 using homebrewed/pre-activated ISOs. Just get the official ISO from Microsoft and activate using HWIDGEN. KMSpico is obsolete software and who knows what else (malware, etc) was included in that Windows image?

Thats correct thing to do. Always get genuine iso from M1cr0soft and use hwid-gen kms method to register it offline.

You have No permissionsYes, the activations after formatting with the Home, Pro, Education editions etc. also work for me. The problem is that they don't work after formatting only on LTSB 2016 and recently I also tried LTSB 2015 and activation after formatting doesn't work in this either. Try installing LTSB and see if it still works, not other versions like Education, Home or Pro
