[Windows 10] Digital License (HWID) & KMS38™ Generation
I just want to list my confusion as a newbie with limited knowledge (I've read everything on here and other 'social media' oriented websites).

- The First post with instructions contains a download link to some files. and manual mode. I really want to just use Automatic mode to eliminate the chance of user error.

I have no idea how to "get" the automatic mode files. From the 'other' Reddsite I was told I could just double click one file and chose from a dropdown menu. That doesn't seem possible with the first post?

This has to be error in:

1. My understanding.
2. The first post explanation.
3. Outside information.

I think it's a mix of the first two. The original post does not explain how to get the auto-mode files. It doesn't explain if I need to convert the manual mode files to auto mode? It doesn't explain if the bottom link mirrored files are different from the top link. (Using the term Mirrored indicates the files are the same as the first link, just hosted separately for backup).
I'm going to try that "mirrored" link and see if that's the Auto-mode files.
Just wanted to try and be neutral and give a perspective of a newbie trying to get their head around what they are reading. It could help in helping others (Or myself) with common questions.

Premise: I'm a noob.....
Could somebody help, please?
I have a regularly activated win 10pro/64, and I would like to install and activate the single app Microsoft Project 2019: what's the way (if there is) to use this activation tool avoiding a mess?
No other office application installed
Thanks in advance and anyway

You have No permissionsthe tool can only activate Windows 10 editions. To activate Project and other Office apps use KMS_VL_all or another KMS solution. KMS38 can't be used for that purpose

Wow, I had a hell of a time tracking this down! I was surprised to see The contents of this section are hidden and the thread on this gone from the Nsane forum, among other things.

Is the the final and official home for HWIDGen?? I'm also told there is a discord for it ran by The contents of this section are hidden that is apparently more up-to-date. If this thread is the most up-to-date version, then I will grab it here.

Regardless, thanks for creating this and thank you for all the hard work on this! It's a wonderful tool.

Lastly, my current understanding is that this works mostly on old versions of Windows 10- Is this correct? Is there anything else to be aware of?

Thank you.

You have No permissionsYes this is the official support forum for hwidgen. The files don't need updating since they still work well and the versions are the latest versions made (no need to update them because they still work fine).

Some people have trouble getting a digital license on some newer versions since those versions became subscription versions last year. That's also the reason why, when you have a digital license for 2016 LTSB, just entering the generic product key after a clean reinstall isn't sufficient and you'll have to redo the process to get Windows activated again

Understood! Thank you for the response.

So it should work fine as long as I use an older version of Windows 10 via older installation ISO.
