You have No permissionsThank you. I actually figured out the problem. I downloaded the evaluation ISO from the Microsoft website not realizing that it could not be activated. Using a non-evaluation copy ISO worked perfectly.

Just about LTSC; I would like to move from LTSB (successfully licensed with HWID, thanks again... 67 ) to LTSC, and I knew that a new licensing is needed even after an In-place Upgrade
So KMS38 is nedded, I see. Is it necessary an open internet connection during activation?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

Sorry if this question was already answered but the search didn't return nothing!

How to remove/reset KMS38 activation to the default returning the OS to the non-activated state?

Thanks.

You have No permissionsTo be honest I never received this question before so I need to find out myself. As soon as I know the answer I'll let you know in this topic.

EDIT: I know KMS_VL_ALL can override KMS38 so you can do that. If you desire to remove KMS_VL_ALL activation afterwards you can do so

I used hwid for windows 10 pro to activate and despite a hiccup it worked. After ~6 months of no issues windows isn't activated anymore even though I haven't changed any piece of hardware.

Don't know what to do to avoid messing anything up further.
Apparently that last issue was yet another M$ hiccup. Windows is now showing reactivated and that ugly watermark is gone.

Don't see any way to edit or delete posts so this is just an update.

You have No permissionsIf you run the activation troubleshooter it should reactivate for you.

use the Troubleshoot option under Update & Security > Settings > Activation.

Does it detects as virus? I am getting virus detected in drive with this file. While one from Reddit does not detects as virus. I am bit confused.
