I currently use Windows 7 which is legitimately licensed from an OEM install I bought when I built my new PC years ago. I have the original disc, license key, etc. It's the only hardware the license has been used on.

The output from slmgr /dlv is in part:

Windows® 7, HomePremium edition, OEM_COA_NSLP channel

And it shows various ID's and a links to licenses on the MS site.

I'm about to do a clean install of Win10 from the ISO downloaded from MS. I will be activating with my current Win7 key.

I wish to upgrade to Pro. Will this procedure work for my OEM license? Do I need to do anything special based on my current config?

You have No permissionsyour Home Premium license can't be used to get a license for Windows 10 Pro so in order to get a legit license for Windows 10 Pro you'll have to run hwidgen with internet on. To get the license after clean install of Windows 10 you first need to install chipset and graphics drivers. Once you have activated Pro online the license will be attached to your hardware so when doing a clean install of Windows 10 Pro again on a later date it will be activated online without the need to run the tool again

So I shouldn't use the ISO I've downloaded from MS since that will be a Home version and it will not upgrade to Pro using hwidgen?

I should find a Pro ISO and install that? Then I should upgrade my drivers and run hwidgen to activate Pro on my hardware?

You have No permissionsthe ISO downloaded contains all consumer versions. You can use it to upgrade to Home Edition and after getting the Home version during upgrade. After the upgrade to Home version you can upgrade to Pro by entering the generic product key (change license) and reboot. After rebooting Windows you end up having an unlicensed Pro version which you can activate with a digital license by using hwidgen.

Procedure:
-Navigate again to Start Menu > Settings > Updates and Security > Activation
-Under Activation, select Change product key. The Product Key window will open
-Enter the 25-digit Windows Pro Product Key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
-Select Next. If your key is correct, the upgrade will start, and you'll soon get a message that Windows has been upgraded
-Activate your Pro version with hwidgen

If you upgrade from your installed Windows 7 it's most likely you don't have to upgrade your drivers in order to get a Windows 10 Home license.
